私たちの住んでいる武蔵村山市は、緑豊かで谷（やと）と湧水の多い狭山丘陵を発祥の地とし、その豊かな自然を背景に、以来１万数千年余りの年月を営々と栄えてまいりました。
インターネットでこうして皆さんとお会いできる今日でも、この自然は脈々と生き続けています。
今日、武蔵村山市は、目まぐるしく変貌する社会情勢の中で、本市の特性や課題を的確にとらえ、「緑輝く快適ステージ ふれあい文化都市 むさしむらやま」をキャッチフレーズに多摩都市モノレールの市内延伸及び沿道の都市計画事業、野山北・六道山公園の整備事業、地域医療の充実、日産自動車村山工場跡地の有効利用など、安心と希望に満ちた元気な武蔵村山市をめざしたまちづくりを進めていきます。

Welcome to the
website of Musashimurayama City
The city of Musashimurayama we now
live in has its origin in the lush hill region of Sayama where ample spring
water made YATO (watery source of an alluvial fan) in many places, and has
continuously been growing for a period of over ten thousands years against a
background of rich nature.
Nowadays, even in the cyber age as I
may meet you on the Internet, the affluent nature of our birthplace has been
ceaselessly kept alive.
Currently, we are moving forwards taking aim at making the lively and safe
city of Musashimurayama which is full of hope, grasping accurately the
traits and problems of this city under the rapidly changing social situations.
We are focusing on the extension into this city of the Tama monorail as
well as the city planning works along the railway line, and the maintenance
and servicing works on Noyamakita Park and RokudoyamaPark with a catch
phrase posed “A comfortable stage of shinning greenery. A touchable city
of culture, Musashimurayama !!” In line with this, our policy emphasis
is also placed on the enrichment of community medicine and the efficient
use of the factory site left by Nissan Motor.
